I think it is a little funny looking, enough that I recall seeing pictures of such contraptions in Black and White photos from who knows when. I've got to give them credit though...
I wonder if a guy could do much of the process in his shop, then fill up at home for the average commute... Hmmm. Now it's got me thinking and not about the work I get paid to do...

P.S. 1/11/09: I was able to do about five minutes of Wikipedia on this and it turns out that the "fuels" used in this type of thing are carbon monoxide (CO), methane (look it up), and Hydrogen (H). The serious side of me says, "ewww" those are ugly things to try to keep contained from pollution and fire etc. The humorous side of me says, "Hmm, more beans, Art?"
